Guar Gum Powder (Fast Hydrating Guar or FHG) is an excellent gelling agent used in the hydraulic fracturing process in oil drilling industry. The product is ideally used to stimulate oil & gas well by fracturing the rock/ shale formation through the pressurized liquid. The FHG perfectly suspends proppants or sand with water which when injected at high pressure create cracks in the deep-rock formations through which natural gas, petroleum, and brine will flow more freely. When the hydraulic pressure is removed from the well, small grains of hydraulic fracturing proppants (either sand oraluminium oxide) hold the fractures open.
FHG products are ideally suited for making low viscosity slurry and also for use DRY ON THE FLY. FHG cross links very well with all cross linkers and develops high viscosity at low concentration.
FHG products are available in four grades which basically differentiates on basis of gel strength.
FHG 4550
FHG 4550 is very high viscosity guar gelling agent which typically develops a viscosity of 45 cps at three minutes elapse time with a solution loading of 40 ppt gel in 2% kcl stack solution. The solution is stable for at least 60 minutes with an assured viscosity of 50 cps measured on the fann 35s viscometer.
FHG 4045
FHG 4045 is a speciality high viscosity guar gelling agent which typically yields 40 cps on fann 35SA viscometer with a 40 ppt solution loading in 2% kcl stack solution; The product yields 45 cps at 60 minutes; FHG4045 is a speciality product for use “DRY ON THE FLY” applications and has higher gel strength to carry high volumes of sand at low concentration.
FHG 3842
FHG 3842 is a High viscosity guar gelling agent which typically develops a viscosity of 38 cps at three minutes elapse time with a solution loading of 40 ppt gel in 2% kcl stack solution. The solution is stable for at least 60 minutes with an assured viscosity of 42 cps measured on the fann 35SA viscometer.
FHG 3540
FHG 3540 is an excellent guar gelling agent for use in Slurriable application. The production has the gel strength to develops a viscosity of 35 cps at three minutes elapse time with a solution loading of 40 ppt gel in 2% kcl stack solution. The solution is stable for at least 60 minutes with an assured viscosity of 40 cps measured on the fann 35s viscometer ideally suited to carry high volumes of sand. The product has character sticks of low slurry viscosity making it easier for pumping with low horse power.
